More than 150 years ago, in 1872, a small train known as "La Maquinilla" traveled the streets of Jerez transporting its wines in order to facilitate their arrival at the port of shipment. That train symbolized an era of splendor and modernity.
That same spirit is reborn today with the opening of A.T. "La Maquinilla", a project that pays tribute to the wine history of Jerez, putting strategic design at the service of the history and culture of our city.
Conceived and developed by the design and construction company Globales Romero, A.T. ¨La Maquinilla¨ has been created to welcome, inspire, excite, and provide an experience in which our guests are the protagonists. Our intention is for visitors to connect and interact experientially with the history of our city through the design of our building.
The nine apartments at A.T. La Maquinilla form a journey inspired by the different types of sherry—Fino, Oloroso, Amontillado, Pedro Ximénez, Palo Cortado, among others—each with an exclusive style, colors, and handcrafted pieces that evoke the history and essence of our land and its wines.
